Is what I would say to my girlfriend if I rented either of these:

Kinja'd!!!

First interesting JDM car for rental near Greenville SC is this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Would be interesting to putter around GVL in for the day. At $200, it’s not a terrible price. Was about to say I’ve never driven a RHD car before, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but not the same as driving one here in the States.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Rental only includes 50 miles, so at $4 a mile plus gas it’s not the most economical rental, but it’d still be among the most unique.

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , which I assume the man in red talking on phone will bring to you if you decided that the $200 was better spent on this than the PAO.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

It might be an auto, but gullwing doors.

Kinja'd!!!

As with the PAO, it’s $200 a day.

Kinja'd!!!

Though you do get double the miles of the PAO included.

Kinja'd!!!

Could be interesting to experience some Japanese flavor for $200.

At one point one of the guys at Japanese Classics had a Laurel available to rent on Turo. It was fairly reasonable, like $50 a day, but it doesn’t seem to be there anymore.

That would be neat, not much of a fan of JDM cars, but for that price i’d be a neat experience .

Yeah, I considered renting it for a day or two, but never got around to it.

Still considering a Pao, if/when this covid fallout settles down, I decided to lose a deposit on one when the lockdown started.

A Sambar Dias Classic would probably be more practical for my needs and parking capacity, but something about the Pao keeps pulling me.

That Pao is tight, but no thanks to RHD. I drove what I think started as a 240sx but was then a indistinguishable   skyline/sylvia/SR20DET 40 weightsnakeskinpants machine. Left hand turns on a prayer at most intersections...

It’s worth mentioning that this car had the m ost turbo lag I have ever experienced as a driver or passenger . I thought the owner was delusional telling me it had all this crazy power. Here I am standing on it approaching 4k rpm wondering what the fuck this guy is on as I’m pretty sure a base civic is quicker . I could kind of hear what I thought was the turbo spooling then ....BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH. A short silence followed by tearful laughter it was SO fast. Still LHD please.

I love the Pao. Anything with round headlamps gets some brownie points from me, but the Pao is adorably sized and it’s front end just looks lovely.
